Craig Carton, the former co-host of WFAN's "Boomer & Carton" show, has been released from prison early, according to the New York Post's Andrew Marchand.
And he might be finding his way back in front of the mic at WFAN.
Carton went to prison back on June 17, 2019 due to a ticket Ponzi scheme that made him around $7 million that was used to pay off his gambling debts. He was supposed to serve three and a half years, but he was let out early due to "completing a number of programs offered by the federal penitentiary."
The 51-year-old will reportedly now either serve the rest of his sentence in home confinement or at a halfway house.
As for a potential WFAN return, Carton's biggest connection there could be Chris Oliviero, Entercom's New York station head. Oliviero used to produce "Boomer & Carton," and The Post reports that he asked if he would be allowed to re-hire Carton. If the fit is there, Oliviero has the OK.
